Finished Cocker Spaniel

Hello and MERRY CHRISTMAS! Can I just say- look at me go! I’m really trying to be consistent with my blogging and man, I’m proud of myself. I hope you are proud of my too, haha! Ok, now on to the finished piece-

ISNT SHE LOVELY?! The amount and range of colors that went into this artwork was quite impressive- from all my browns to yellows, golds, pinks and reds. I know that I really didn’t do the amazing reference justice, but I am so pleased with the outcome.

The ears gave me the hardest time. Those curls! But I remembered what the GREAT Lisa Lachri says, to treat each section as an abstract shape, and that really helped.

Here she is, framed and proudly hanging on my wall. She didn’t stay there for long though! She’s currently being looked at by a client, and might soon be hung on a different wall. *fingers crossed*
